For outdoorsmen/women, hipsters, grandmas, the kids, moms, dads, the environmentally conscious, people who appreciate simple beauty. Located in The Camp in Costa Mesa, Seed is a "green department store" that is a work of art in itself. Upon entering, the calm base-camp-vibe engulfs you as your eyes scan the myriad of products and decorations. Seed preserves that rustic mountaineer spirit: nothing is taken for granted thus making the simple pleasures all the more enjoyable.
What I admire most about this store (or market) is their conscious effort to preserve the world. They have filtered water, free computer usage, and bike rentals all complimentary. Their retail consists of practical outerwear to hand-crafted alternatives all aligned with their mantra "products with a purpose" in mind. They have a substantial selection of backpacks (commuter packs to multi-day camping packs), Patagonia products, all sorts of travel and camp accessories, and cool trinkets (candles, books, jewelry, skateboards, etc.).
